Terms of Service

1. Using the consumer service

By creating an account, buying a plan or credit pack, or using the consumer service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Notice .

You must be at least 18 years old to create and manage a consumer account. My Little Hero is built as an adult-controlled family service. Children do not create consumer accounts, but they may read stories through adult-controlled reading experiences such as shared reading or Kid Mode.

2. Accounts and parental authority

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity carried out through your account.

By creating a story, saved household/profile record, or uploading a story reference image featuring a child, you confirm that:

• you are the parent, legal guardian, or another authorised adult acting with appropriate authority
• the child data you provide is limited to what is needed to create and deliver the requested story experience
• you will not create stories or upload story or profile images for children where you do not have authority or permission to do so

3. Child data, images, and AI-assisted generation

My Little Hero uses the details you provide, such as cast information, story choices, support preferences, optional story reference images, optional profile photo uploads, and saved profile visual-reference choices, to help generate personalised stories and illustrations.

If you upload a story reference image, you authorise My Little Hero to analyse that image as part of story generation. If you upload a profile photo in Family Studio, you authorise My Little Hero to analyse that image and create a child-friendly story avatar for the saved profile. We delete the original uploaded profile photo after processing. These image features are for personalisation and continuity, not biometric identification, identity verification, or age estimation.

4. Acceptable use and safety

You agree not to use My Little Hero to:

• create or request unlawful, abusive, exploitative, or otherwise unsafe content
• impersonate another person or falsely represent your authority over a child
• upload images or information without the relevant permission or authority
• scrape, reverse engineer, interfere with, or try to bypass service limits, moderation, or security controls
• resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the service or generated outputs without our prior written permission

5. Payments, subscriptions, and credits

Paid plans, subscriptions, and credit purchases are billed using Stripe and the pricing shown at checkout or in your billing settings.

If you are on a subscription, it renews on the billing cycle you selected unless you cancel it. You can manage or cancel your plan from Billing Settings .

Credits are service entitlements, not cash. They may be reserved or deducted when you request generation. Where the product rules provide for restoration after a failed platform-side generation, the applicable credit logic in the service will apply. Refunds are only available where required by law or where we expressly say otherwise.

6. Your content and generated stories

You keep rights in the text, images, and other material you upload or enter into the service. Subject to these Terms, you may use the generated stories and illustrations created for your account for personal, family, and non-commercial use.

My Little Hero retains all rights in the platform, software, trademarks, design system, safety systems, and other service materials. These Terms do not give you any right to copy, resell, or commercialise the platform itself.

7. Privacy, retention, and deletion

Our Privacy Notice and Cookies and Similar Technologies notice explain how we handle personal data, browser storage, retention, exports, and deletion.

If you close your account from Account Settings , we will apply the product's deletion flows to active account content, profiles, and linked family data. Some records may still be retained for limited periods where needed for billing, security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, dispute handling, or backup cycles, as described in the Privacy Notice.

8. Service availability, changes, and suspension

We aim to provide a reliable service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. We may update features, models, providers, limits, or safety controls, and we may suspend or restrict the service for maintenance, abuse prevention, security, or legal compliance reasons.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially breach these Terms or misuse the service.

9. Liability and consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded under applicable law, including your mandatory consumer rights.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, My Little Hero's total liability for claims arising from the consumer service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses that the law allows us to exclude.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we may notify you by email, through the service, or by asking you to review and re-accept the updated Terms before continuing to use the account.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer law in your home jurisdiction applies. The courts of England and Wales will normally have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights you may have to bring a claim elsewhere.
